I took today off classes. I figured the time could be better spent here, working, both domestically and academically. And, against character, I've actually managed to get some stuff done. Not heaps, but enough that I don't feel thoroughly disgusted with myself.

I also had a chat with the cute girl who just moved in next door.

Life doesn't suck.

Icarus is perhaps a slightly ill-omened name for a bird, but I chose it for a few reasons. He's a sun conure, so I was looking for a name from a sun-related myth. Then, Icarus was the foolish one, and this bird is very foolish. biggrin Perhaps one day he will grow up to be more like Daedalus, but for now, he's terribly silly.

Also, the myth of Icarus was made into an Iron Maiden song, which is the thing that decided me. *nods happily*
