Time to bitch about my work!

I HATE most of the people I have to work closely with. And one of them is my Auntie.
My direct team is predominantly made up of pushy, uninformed middle-aged women who think their opinion is the only one that counts, and if you think otherwise you're obviously wrong. I'm sure you know the type.

Usually I can handle their crap fairly well, but today I nearly lost my shit all over them. I didn't, though, I held it together, so now I'm venting here.

We have the news on during our lunch break. There's a TV in the common room and we leave it playing even though it can rarely be heard over the raucous gossiping of these four or five uber-hens. Normally this doesn't bother me as the news is generally a biased waste of my time.

Lately however I've been trying to follow the case unfolding in America about the raids on that Texan polygamous conclave. Now I won't bore (or outrage) you with my views on the matter, but regardless of where you stand, the story is a pretty deep furore over human rights.

So there was another story about it on the news today and, despite myself and my only other male team-mate pleading with The Gaggle to be quiet, it went unheard beneath their rabbiting on about fuck-only-knows-what nonsense (and before you say it; I've tried turning the TV up to hear over them. They simply raised their voices accordingly and the ensuing cacophony nearly drove me from the room).

Now this incident, missing yet another news story of interest, wouldn't normally be enough to prompt a rant from me. It happens nearly every day. But what set the match to the fuel of my ire today was the fact that, when the stock report came on, they all shut neatly up and sat like contented children, staring at the screen. When I mentioned the oddity of silence through the most useless part of the news, these bourgeois bitches snapped at me that they had to know what their portfolio was doing!! I nearly bit my tongue clean off trying not to scream: "CIVIL LIBERTIES ARE BEING TRAMPLED ALL ACROSS THE GLOBE AND YOU'RE FOLLOWING THE DOW‽"

God these women infuriate me!
mad mad mad

Think you could get that interrobang by me, didja? Not likely!

Also, I bet they vote for the Liberal Party and are afraid of aboriginals and kids that wear hoodies[1].
