Time to organise scattered thoughts and tell my world how my last few days have been.
As usual, I'm plagued by coincidences and novelties. I was sitting in my lecture today, chatting to a friend, when a strange girl sitting in the seat in front of mine turned around out of the blue and asked:
"Excuse me, is your name _insert my name here_?"
I answered, somewhat hesitantly that, yes in fact it was. It turns out she and I went to high school together. I remember her name and what she used to look like in school, but there's only the vaguest suggestion of the face I remember in the face I saw today. I would never have recognised her had she not told me who she was. I'm frankly amazed that, having left starting my uni degree for so long (I graduated high school in '93), I would run into someone from my year, at my school, who is enrolled at my university, in one of my classes nearly fifteen years after we matriculated. The chances are pretty slim, no?
Tonight I went to see 'The Crow' play at The Globe with my dear Kye. Its one of our favourite films and she had never seen it on a cinema screen. Unfortunately, due to payroll fuck-ups none of the few thousand dollars I am currently owed has actually made it into my hand, so I had to cry poor and force Kye to step up for both of us. I love my lifestyle, but I hate that it sometimes forces me to actions like this. Hopefully, with steady PT work under my belt now, it shouldn't happen again.
Speaking of work..I scored this for free on Tuesday:

I used to completely love this show when I was younger. I carried the brightest torch for Cybill Shephard for the longest time because of it. I'm so happy about having it, I'm already onto the second disc and I've had the theme song playing in my head since the moment I laid eyes on it!
(I know, I'm gushing!
). In fact, I'm going to watch a few more episodes right now!
Stay cool, groovers!
