Phew! What a weekend!
I'm thoroughly shattered and enjoying the kind of exhausted high that usually follows rampant and satisfying sex (although I didn't actually get laid).
Friday night was a date with Sway to see TaikOz perform at QPAC. The show was, as expected, brilliant, but both Sway and I agreed that it was very modern and innovative, and that a lot of the primal richness that attracted us to the art of Taiko originally had been sacrificed in favour of clever new tricks. Both disappointing and interesting at the same time.
Saturday night was S_Eldorado's birthday bash; a Victorian Slasher party extravaganza! An amazing time was had by all and I will heartily admit to savouring more than my fair share of the festivities!
I drank some nice red (two bottles, kindly donated by caring friends who understand my current financial plight). I snogged some very sexy people. I laughed until I cried and I met some amazing new friends. Expect pictorial evidence of these and other exploits to emerge over the next few days, care of the paparazzi members of the Brisbane SGAU Chapter!
Tonight was the usual Sunday night dinner and fun, with the usual suspects plus some new additions. We watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azakaban while enjoying a feast of sumptuous fare. More laughs and general merry-making ensued.
Now I'm home, seconds from bed, and contemplating my first day at my new job tomorrow.
