So, nearly a week has passed since my last entry.
It's been a big week, too. I scored three days of work through my promotions company.
The job was for three of us to roll around Brisbane in a refrigerated truck and hand out free samples of 7-Eleven's in-house chocolate milk to businesses around specific 7-Eleven stores.
Sounds easy enough, right?
Well, a simple job can get really complicated when the prep work is done by someone in Sydney or Melbourne who has no idea about the lay of Brisbane. Our daily run-sheets were a nightmare! At one point we had a bunch of drop-offs in the Browns Plains/Logan Central area, then we had to get over to fucking Strathpine/Bray Park for our next lot.
Not to mention added complications, like the fact that the three of us live in different parts of Brisbane, the truck was parked at Albion overnight and each day's supply of stock was in Hemmant. And that the truck shit itself halfway through day three (the only day when we were actually running on time) costing us another hour and a half!
Anyway, after three days of this insanity, I'm completely knackered.
Edited to add - As a reward to myself for the hard work I put in over the three days, last night I treated myself to a dinner of home-made chips (two chip sandwiches with a side order of chips) and three episodes of 'Weeds' while rugged up warm and comfy in bed. Sweet, sweet heaven!
