Isn't it great when life just gifts you with exactly what you need at that point in time...
Sway and I just got home from seeing the Brisbane Nickelback concert. Say what you will about them, they put on a hell of a show.
During the course of the gig, I screamed and yelled, I laughed and I cried...It was exactly what I needed.

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows
Ah, fuck it! I'm going to bed...

Don't worry I didn't read it. I saw the name on the cover and it took me a second to click who Scott was (knowing you as Rook at the moment as I do) so I opened it, realised, then shut it again.
I like that poem by the way. Is it yours? Reminds me of Samurai Champloo crossed with Lord of War. It's definately a rap either way...

Sweet. They are so cool. On another note, I just found a letter addressed to someone named Scott inside that Wordplay book. Some kind of group letter. Want me to send it? I'll need an address though.

We watched a movie last night called "The Jacket".
If you liked "Memento" and/or "The Butterfly Effect" you should check it out.
We also saw "9 Songs" recently. I like sex and I like live music. I really like the idea of telling a love story solely through the sex scenes. But for some reasons, "9 Songs" just didn't seem to work for me...

Basically the sex is boring and soulless and so are the characters - very hard to get emotionally involved in.

I use to hate the word "funky" - people I worked with used to use it to describe everything and anything. One day I blew up - and then they used it because they knew it annoyed me. So, in that spirit:
(Sorry, my internet sarcasm is showing)
Apparently I'm crap at it too, but I figure as long as I'm having a good time...

Luckily I'm so hairy the bear usually mistakes me for a cub
Sometimes it feels like there's a rat inside my mind, scratching and clawing to get out.
I need to write, to speak, but when I try, I have nothing to say.
And still the words pound behind my eyes like a migraine, waiting for me to find a way.
This the life I have chosen...long barren roads of frustration, infrequently spattered with fleeting (and equally...

Oh the contradictions in that posting... One says he cannot write - then effortlessly bleeds forth such lined text filled a pain and sorrow only dedication to the word could possibly ensue...
Would you overflow if you couldn't write? That's how I feel sometimes.

I overheard a girl today describe a piece of music as: "indie and alternative". I wondered how bland this music must be in order to have so little impact on a listener...

I thought it was about time to come out of the shadows, so to speak.
This is me hanging out at a multi-million dollar unit on Main Beach on the Gold Coast. This place was amazing. It belongs to Sway's Uncle and Aunt and we had a great time there.
If you should ever get the chance to sponge...

Fuck I never noticed that Stats is a palindrome! - shame on me. Nice to meet you today, thanks for having us in despite your mountain of work to do. Hope it all goes well with the assessment and everything. And thanks again for the books, I'm gonna lend you Deception Point and Digital Fortress whenever your finished reading whatever your reading at the moment. They're pretty addictive - like the other two, but again, each only takes around three days to finish. On that note, you should know that I'm a very slow reader. It pains me to admit it but I take about one-two months to finish a book usually, so if you need them back earlier, don't wait for me to offer
Talking about writing today inspired me to write again, it's been a fair few months. Check out the dirty draft in my journal, it's raw, but it'll going somewhere eventually.

To all the super folk who introduced themselves to us, or that we introduced ourselves to, or that we spoke to without feeling the need for introductions, thankyou for making it a night to remember.
For the unfortunate few of you who saw the travesty that is our home, we sincerely apologise, you caught us...

I want to like Bukowski, but I don't. Nor Kerouac.
The secret to life is knowing what songs to listen to at any given moment...
I never knew it was possible to get intoxicated on music.
Last week, after hours of listening to a playlist that included "Nightwish", "Lacuna Coil", "Hammerfall" and "HIM", I actually felt a little drunk. It was weird.
It may have had something to do with having my MP3 player blasting at maximum volume for hours on end, but, whatever the reason, it was pretty fucking...
