I just found out that my younger brother got accepted into the Police force during the week. He's starting at the Academy sometime within the month. He's wanted this for a long time, and now he's got a chance to make something of himself. My mother is over the moon.
The 2 most basic rules of life that I try to follow are:
- Do what makes you happy
- Think about what you're going to look back on and regret not having done when you're 80.
Anything that falls into category 2 gets added to category 1 as soon as reasonably possible. It's an ongoing process.
It sounds like you've got #1 down so the question remains whether or not there's anything that fits into #2 that you can take care of now.... assuming you want to do something crazy like subscribe to my rules of life.
It's been a big week, too. I scored three days of work through my promotions company.
The job was for three of us to roll around Brisbane in a refrigerated truck and hand out free samples of 7-Eleven's in-house chocolate milk to businesses around specific 7-Eleven stores.
Sounds easy enough, right?

I just saw Transformers at IMAX with a bunch of my favourite people in the world.
Fucking awesome! At some points, my dick got hard.
But having said that, this movie is like mediocre sex...it's great while it's happening, but afterward, in retrospect, you see a lot of faults you were willing to ignore in the heat of the moment.

I just finished downloading a zip file with over 3 Gigs worth of video clips in it.
I'm seriously pissed now that I'm watching them because the the freaking git that ripped them rendered the video at DVD quality but rendered the audio down to 64kbps, so it sounds like I'm hearing them through a telephone made of tin-cans and string!
