Well, the weekend was hit and miss.
Took a test in Shakespeare on Friday. Not bad for 30 minutes of studying. Got a B+. So much for the expected difficulty of graduate school.
Hung out with Derek and Jean on Saturday for quite some time. Had some food, drank a little (well, some drank more than others), watched some Japanese horror and some Friends. All in all, it was a good time.
Saw the Mavs unload on the Heat last night. Always satisfying to see the Mavs kicking ass.
Did no homework all weekend, but caught myself up and got ahead today.
Lonely a lot as of late. Finding it hard to sleep in an empty bed and questioning the reason for my continued solo state. At times I think about just going to a bar or club to meet a fling. But within half an hour, I remember that I hate flings. I'm a relationship guy. I also hate bars and wouldn't have much fun with someone who frequents them. Ah well. The higher the standard, the longer the wait I guess.
Checking out some graduate schools for Ph.D. Among them, these are on the list: Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, U of Wisconsin, Duke, U of NC, NYU, Boston U., U of Mass., U of Connecticut. A professor here has mentioned an American university in Paris and a good literature program in Ireland. Going to seek more information about those schools as well.
Decided to forego the German refresher for French. I want to speak the language, so I'll just take the university courses on up to advanced.
Quite bored this summer (other than the two trips to see Naela). If anybody around is bored, let me know. Thinking about a short road trip or two in July. I have 5-day weekends all month.
