Agreed. I went to college in El Lay, and the music scene was great. Still, I prefer Texas. At some point, we all have to grow up and pay taxes. Most bands will play in Dallas. The Cure played in a 1,200 seat hall. Sold out in less than a minute.

Yeah. Texas for me had the following advantages - cheaper housing, more genuinely warm people, lax gun laws (I'm a gun nut, which doesn't bode very well in California). Taxes are a wash as what they don't kill you in income tax, they get you in property tax. I once owned several homes in Texas and when it came time to pay taxes, it really hurt. I'd be in Texas right now if I wasn't in a band.
