I was thinking about a lecture from some guy from some famous theology church I went to about a year and half ago.

The overall effect I got from it was as follows (and this is a very abstractt thought seeing as those I talked to about it afterwards got nothing, becuase it was over thier heads...)

anyways if you picture human existance and progress as some sort of progression - lets say for metaphors sakes as a radioactive comet soaring through the dark of space lighting up its path, losing bits, regrssing here and there, and generally spirally forward in the vastly unexplored leaving a trail of vapour documenting where its been.

Now, imagine theres a brick wall somewhere at the end of history - say if this commet hit that, it wouldnt cease to travel, but instead of a relatively straight line with a couple backtracks, it would expand outwards, backwards, and in every direction - just the forward moving would be tiny particles representing the smallest masses of commet.

I listened to a song where a lyric was, "we rock, we rock, we rock, to a new sensation,"

It seemed a decade remvoed, like it would have worked in 1980, when it seemed there was more to experience, that there was more forward progress between people to occur. Now it seems that Developmentally, some awful bastard has decided the end of history didn't need a brick wall as much as a generation. Things will still progress , just differently, Ions will fly on...

I find that metaphor particularily apt in terms of profit margins. If for a minute you eliminate perspectiove besides those suckers, then they've become a stopper to which all must expand around.

A simple plateau wouldn't work cause theres not as much backlash or going sideways.

I traineda friend at work today, I think he might beon the verge of getting me fired.

Oh on last thing - snuck the swing cd to work today - found out Tim (retired boxer, wonderful old man) loves swing. Found out Mikes dad was a swing singer post the war, and he loves swing cause it reminds him of being a kid.

Oh jazz you may just conquer all thats bad for me.

One more side note: if you should ever feel like buying me something: I have two dream drum kits: a ludwig vistalite kit of assorted colours (rocknroll!), and an ayotte wood hoop kit (swing that shit!).
