if anybody reading this is within 2957465 miles of state college, be sure to check out our fireworks show on 4th of july. it is the 5th largest show in the nation, and is the largest run by all volunteers. this year i'm told we're using 12,000 shells, and it's all expertly choreographed to music broadcast over a local radio station. an excerpt from the website (www.4thfest.org):
"Up until the grand finale the show will be averaging about 5 shells per second. That is per second...not per minute. When we hit the finale, and you should know we are there, the firing rate will pop to over 49 shells per second."
...yeah. it'll be sweet. -_-
