i continue to be impressed by how awesome the people on this site are. the four sets today (kiora, rei, cake, and vesper) are particularly amazing.
in other news, i'm leaving today for a couple weeks. i've had really itchy feet (wanderlust, not athlete's foot) recently, and the mountains have been calling my name rather loudly for months... so i i'm headin out on walkabout. well, kinda a fake walkabout. in a true one, i'd have no idea where i'm going, and it could last quite a long time. i'd say this is more of a test walkabout, a short excursion toward my parents' house in Reading (about 3 hours by car, i'm guessing ~2 weeks on foot), so i can learn how to live sustainably homeless, in case i should ever need/want to. the main trick is that i'm not resupplying through civilization at all along the way. i'm carrying everything i shall need with me, incl. a 5lb bag of uncooked rice for a food base. should be fun.
i wish you all a wonderful several weeks, and i look forward to telling stories of my adventures upon my return.
