Today turned out to be a fairly productive day. I whizzed halfway through the book I'm reading, did some banking, got the film developed and bought two packages of guitar strings. Which brings me to tonight's rant.
I had to restring my old guitar (Peavey strat-copy), which I had handed down to my brother, which was a major embuggerance, as the bastard machineheads are a) too closely spaced to use a string winder, causing me great strain in my knuckles; and b) the shitty things practically take 100 lbs of force to turn a 1/4 turn. Then, just as I'm putting the last string on, and was beginning to stretch the strings, the bloody thing snapped - then I had remembered why I had ditched that guitar in favor of my Les Paul. The crap bridge likes to eat through the strings and bullet-ends are needed, which I had completely forgot. At least I got the action and intonation set properly, but that guitar still needs a metric asston of work done to it, as it buzzes worse than my head after a night of drinking strong mezcal. Ah well, at least that's over and done with.
I finally added the pictures I took from Bart's.
Too bad only 7 pictures turned out on that roll of film.
