@richsquared one of the things that blew my mind was the picture of the table with the pineapples on it. The guide said in those days pineapples were wildly expensive because they had to be imported. So it was a sign of great wealth to have them as centerpieces but no one was allowed to eat them because they were actually rented and had to be returned for another noble's party the next night
