When work permits, I've set aside today as the "use up all fresh fruit and veg day". No sense in letting it rot while I'm away in Moscow. At the moment there's a giant apple pie in the oven . There's no way i can eat it all, so I'll have to freeze some.
I've blanched all the new potatoes and they're already freezing. Supper tonight is a mixed veg soup, sort of ministrone. The rest of the fruit I'll consume before take off.
All other perishables are already out of the fridge. Sorry if this sounds boring. Why am I being fastidious? Last time I went away
I forgot this routine and when i cam back the apartment smelled like a shit house and the fridge had a sort of flourescent green glow inside coming from a goey mess like a slimey ET. Like an idiot I'd also given my "daily' the two weeks off, so my home had been undisturbed throughout its putrification. Now I just have to remember the last minute bleach down the toilet and sink and a sprinkle of perfumed oils on the dried flowers. Then I hope I can look forward to coming back to "home, sweet smelling home".
UPDATE: I've just consumed half the apple pie...it was scrumptious. I suspect the rest will got at breakfast.
The soup, I'm afraid, was just average. Or was I just in a hurry to tuck into the pie?
My ex now not so ex Chinese girlfriend just called me to wish bon voyage.She says she flying over from France to be here when I get back.

wow...i never really looked at it liked that...now i am goign to run away and cry.
Man, I'm really hoping we can take some pics this weekend! We're actually going to have the oldest tonight and tomorrow and all three Saturday night through Sunday! Maybe we can just lock the door and hope they don't seriously injure one another before we're done! lol I'm always scared to leave them alone right after I've cleaned the house as well! The house looks sooooo wonderful! I was really hoping I could enjoy it just a little bit longer! Damn it!
