Things are still going really well with my German visitors....today we took the kids to the beach and played...an i mean played.
I haven't had so much fun for years.
Then it was good old English fish and chips
eaten out of the paper. It was a first for the children, whose mum normally bans junk food ( Although I don't regard F&C as junk food). And I even got a great big kiss on the lips from little five year old Emily before she went to bed. Yummy. Even seven year old Phillip gave me a quick hug.
With my girl so far away for so long, you can imagine why this TLC is so welcome.
Tomorrow I'm on duty early to build a model aeroplane with young Phillip. I think he was really impressed when I told him it was a type I'd flewn in my uniformed days.
I don't mind this surrogate dad bit at all.

I've been pondering kids myself. Kinda need a partner for that. My ex has brought the topic up.
Likely being a surrogate parent is more fun than a real parent.
