I don't talk about World Of Warcraft here but I figured I'd mention this - but we need a bit of background for people that have never played (and you shouldn't )
Some people just play on their own, but most people organize themselves into what are called Guilds. Some guilds are loose some are fairly organized - different strokes for different folks, etc. I resisted for along time - had several ask me to join but I figured I'd have more fun on my own. Anyway, I finally did join one when I was in my mid level 20s.
Ok, so - y'all know I'm a sorta responsible kinda guy - been working forever, taking care of my stuff, etc. And I like to help people - just part of my nature - the whole "I want you to like me so I'll help you out" thing.
So - the leaders of the guild figured out that I was responsible, helped out alot of people and I was pretty high level. So they promoted me.
Now it's my job to evaluate the other people in the guild to see if they should be promoted.
WTF is THAT all about?? it's a GAME people!
Anyway, I said yes cuz the person that actually ASKED me to do it is someone I'd played alot with. But - is that weird or what??
Anyway, I've got a screenshot of my char - as soon as I find a graphics program that'll read the stupid file WoW writes out I'll post it here. He's kinda cute in a geeky gnome fighter way .
Anyway - no more WoW stuff - I just thought you'd be amused by the whole other level of taking a game way to seriously.
