Ok, it's friday, and I'm not doing the days of the week conspiracy game again EVER smile.

I've been "mining" my CDs and I'm finding I've got really good taste in music wink.

Ferinstance, Anybody ever hear of the Tartan Amoebas? Apparently they've changed their style abit but the CD I've got (the eponymously named "Tartan Amoebas" wink ) is this weird celtic/memphis soul mix - mostly celtic but there's def. a nod to booker t with horns. It's pretty cool.

And if you like early REM you should check out The Connells, who apparently have just released a new cd I think I'm gonna pick up. Anyway, the CD I have is Boylan Heights, which is just some cool North Carolina pop stuff. If you check out their website, there's a really cool cover of Jethro Tull's "Living in the Past" you can download.

Finally, I found my Charlatan UK album - lots of cool organ driven music smile. Nice stuff.

I'll be heading down to my parent's house this weekend for my dad's birthday - of course I'll be haulling along my new laptop so I can work while I'm there - which is why I bought the darned thing to being with smile. He was actually born yesterday on Bastille Day - the day of the French Revolution. Of course, I was born on May 5th, which is the Mexican Revolution smile. My son was born on SOMEbody's revolution day but I forget which. That's us, we're all just revolting, what can I say smile.

Did I do better this time?

More pictures from around work next!

Huh, sometimes I feel so dumb when I don't know music. But of course I'm told I have bad taste in music more often than not, so if you have good taste, I suppose that would have to follow.

I realized I haven't talked to you in over a week and I miss you. Are you having a good weekend? I need to update soon. smile
