Quicky car update:
it's STILL at the dealer.
My service rep (lol - can I have a crush on my service rep? she's cute!) told me that Toyota won't let them do anything until they can duplicate the condition and figure out what's REALLY wrong. Apparently I've got the only Scion X/B in the US (maybe the world?) that's acting like this.
