Yaknow, we live in a wonderful new age.
I mean, EVERYthing has gotten better since I was a kid.
Well, maybe not everything - TV content sux while TV technology's improved some, popular music - while being incredibly profitable (no matter what the record companies say) is pretty soulless - most movies are about spectacle vs heart and soul, but for the most part everything seems to be better than it was.
Case in point for technological advancement:
Has anybody my age tried blowing bubbles lately? I mean - they've got scented colored bubbles! and when you blow into the bubble wand you don't just get afew bubbles and "pop" you get THOUSANDS of bubbles!
Ok, maybe not thousands, but closing on hundreds! I took the kid out to blow bubbles today after church (he got a mini-bubble wand in his "easter bag" - there's another thing - mini-bubble wands? who thought of that?! I've even got a Microsoft bubble pen!! That's certainly the image I'd want for MY software!) and I'm blowing bubbles and they just don't stop!
Of course I reflect on my experiences blowing bubbles when I was a kid and they were clear, smelled like dishwashing soap, popped when you looked at them and you only got 5 or 10 before the wand needed to be recharged.
LOL anyway - I'll post some pictures tomorrow sometime
Off to my sofa - it's gonna be a busy day tomorrow!
Hope y'all had a happy easter - and stay away from the cadbury eggs - the chocolate's good but every one of the creame filled ones I've opened has had some weird yellow thing in the middle of the white stuff! Eww!
Love to y'all, and watch out for bubbles! My glasses are STILL soapy!
And they smell funny to!
