So here's how it went:
In a wild search to find people to hang out with in Denver, I met someone on m'space (we'll call her "Rachel"). I had corresponded with Rachel once or twice, mostly trying to find stuff to do in town. One day said young lady invited me to a three dollar punk show, I obliged with the intent of "meeting up". the show was in fact tonight at a bar called Bushwacker's Saloon (which sounded vaguely like a lesbian S&M bar to me). I went to the bar with the intent of finding a new friend. Instead I got two of the shittiest bands I have heard in a long time. I will leave their names out because one day (god willing) they will get a lot of practice and get good.
I never found the girl, but I did see the last band - 8 dollar experiment - I was impressed. They don't have locals like this on the east coast. They reminded me 100% why I started going to shows three to six days a week when I was in high school.
Fuck what you heard, there ain't no punk rock like Denver punk rock.
