the AA meeting was, well, different. very different. one thing i didnt know about AA was the total faith in god which is...umm...something i am not interested in hearing about. i am glad it helps others, though.
im not trying to stop drinking all together...i just am trying to have a better hold over when is an ok time and when i really dont need to. i have never had anything to drink in the morning or been to work having drunk anything. its only when i get home from work...the problem is at that point in the day i have more work to do if i am ever going to get any painting done...and drinking is no help at all to that.
i just know that alcoholism runs very highly in my family...and im really trying to not fall into that. that and i liked listening to their stories. although i dont plan on stopping all together i think i will go to a few more meetings. we will have to see.

i went through an NA program...and whatever you feel like will help you,please go with it. i'm also trying to cut back on drinking now, but AA has never really helped me. and don't worry about the GOD thing, they say as long as you believe in some kind of higher power it's fine. let me know if you need someone to vent to, i've been through this shit!
there are other ways to go about it than AA, I'm totally with you on that god shit
