Alright so this has been bothering me. So the past couple of weeks I've been applying for jobs and quite a high number list absolutly no other contact that "fax resume to:". One place I called to inquire about their particular listing told me to fax them my resume to which I replied "I don't have a fax machine" and the woman on the phone proceeded to ask me if I could come in and fill out an application in a voice as if I'd just told her I was an alien (the outer space kind, not the foreign kind). I don't know anyone who owns a fax machine and yes sure you can send faxes via computer except as far as I know you can't do this if you have broadband, which most people these days do. If you don't have a phone line going into your computer with a fax modem then you cannot send faxes via your computer. I know I could just go to Staples or some other place like that but wtf? Why don't these places realize the inability to fax shit from a private home?
