Argh! its almost midnight on a saturday and I'm sitting at my fucking computer. How pathetic is that? Umm...Anyway tomorrow's the big UFPJ march, I wrote this whole big thing the other day in my livejournal about how protesting shit isn't like an activity to do for fun, its something that needs to be done for any change, but people seem to think that we all get together and protest cause its fun or something. Yeah walking a shitload of blocks screaming about bush is a lot of fun. I still think the only way we're ever going to get any real reform in this country is to fucking revolt. "We know what we need, we need a fuckin revolution", seriously the second american revolution. Its too bad I don't believe in violence. Anyway the fucking city is empty and these dumbass delagates stick out like sore thumbs (what the fuck does that mean anyway?). They even announce places that they're with the convention. The next ones I see I'm going up to and telling them that this city doesn't want them, they're making our city lose money and polluting the air with their dumbness. The cops are just going nuts with violating as many constitutional rights as possible in the name of "anti-terrorism", I'm thinking of making a sign for tomorrow that says "We the people...WANT OUR FUCKING RIGHTS BACK". Its seriously sickening that most people are either out of town for the week or are just staying home, a lot of people aren't even going to work. Fuck I don't even get paid and I'm going to work on Monday. With the lack of human presence I hope I'll be able to get the $20 RENT tickets I've always wanted. I gotta see if I can find someone to come with me. At least on Wednesday I get to go to the retardedly corporate "Mabelline presents the Chicks With Attitude tour". How much attitude do you have with a make-up company sponsoring the tour? Anyway the line-up is good and I don't think many people are going so maybe I'll finally get my chance to talk to Liz Phair , the last time I saw her 90% of the audience never heard anything but the stuff from the radio and were totally shocked by the old stuff. I'll be totally in bliss as long as she plays Flower, Supernova, and Fuck & Run. The other people playing are the Cardigans, whose name seems familiar but I don't know from where, Katy Rose who has a pretty good cd, and Charlotte Martin, who I swear sounds a lot like Tori Amos, except she's extrodinarily good looking. Its kinda odd that all the "Chicks with Attitude" are really good looking, maybe its the maybelline (yeah sure). Anyway I'm going to that all alone so if anyone else is going let me know and we can meet up. I'm sure the show will be good, I just can't stand them labelling it "chicks with attitude", to get that name you gotta throw like the lunachiks on there or tribe 8 or something. Also I'm not remembering if the boy band guy has started in RENT yet, I hope he hasn't cause he'll ruin the role. I've seen that play 5 times and I'll see it 50 more but they gotta go back to the original idea behind the casting which was get people close to the real thing and don't worry if they're the best singers or dancers in the world. Thats why the OBC will always be the best. I'm lucky to have seen them. And if you never saw RENT, especially if you haven't seen it in nyc, you must go. Its obscenely true to life in the east village in the early 90's. Its like fuck I knew people like that, I still know people like that, I am like that. There is one character in that play that is so much like me its scary. Anyway wow this has been long, wish me luck with not getting arrested tomorrow and if your anywhere near the city come out and show your support of the anti bush agenda. Now's the time to speak up. I already recieved my little thing that tells me the date of the election and where to go. I'm not sure what the cut off is but I believe its mid september that they can't process you in time for election day so if you aren't registered, do it now. Right now. And then on election day GET THE FUCK OFF YOUR ASS AND VOTE BUSH OUT. This is your life. This affects you. Alright this is way too long....Gonna go watch "Rocked" on dvd and fall in love with Gina Gershon some more. See ya later.
