Today was an interesting day. My stepfather and I went to a high powered rocket launch. There were a couple ten foot tall ones. I launched several of my own rockets and just talked with the people there. Today was also the first day that the sky was clear enough for me to use my new telescope. I could see Jupiter and it moons quite clearly including the cloud bands on Jupiter's surface. I tried to find the whirlpool galaxy in Ursa major but there is just too much ambient light in the city. Then I turned my telescope to the Milky Way region by Altair. I was like, "My God, it's full of stars." I finally came inside when I realized I was covered with mosquito bites.
