Ok,
I could go and write another epic entry detailing the extraordinary, super incredible, awesome time i had at Big Day Out and on the weekend, but i don't really have the mental capacity to put in such an effort.
Last years was 2500 words with photos, this year i'll spare most of the words and leave you with pix detailing the fun.
Friday was when it all began for Steve and I, we had a shopping list and a bunch of errands to run so that our crew could "experience" the day on a "higher" level. Steve, My brother John and I then headed out for a Friday night in Brisbane, .....we got home at 5 on Saturday morning.
Saturday Morning:
Chris, Sarah, Steve and I had been planning for some time for this years big day out, we had everything organised, except how to get down there. We were meeting the rest of the crew there, but as the 4 hotel rooms we had booked were in Steve's name, we were the ones who were required to be there first.
A slight dilemma....we decided to rent a car ....that shit can be expensive, not to worry, we found a car rental company called "Rent a Bomb", and yes, they do exactly that.

So we piled into the piece of shit with no air-con, ...actually nothing, the car was a rusty piece of shit.....where was i again ..oh yeah, ...so we piled in to the car with my brother John and all our shit and headed down to the coast.
100 metres down the road and barely around the corner from my parents house we began what was to be a crazy, crazy 3 days. Half each, not much, but enough for a little kick to get us down the coast. Before I knew it we had arrived at the Breakfree Savannah Resort at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. We had 4 rooms and a good sized crew, this was going to be fun.

so anyway got quite messy on saturday night, ranstarr, rh1an5, Slithers, speedway74 and a few others headed to the casino for some fun, we won some $$ then headed back

The Day
I could have a shitload of words and tell everyone the details, but instead i will just say this
I had a fucking amazing time, spend some great time with friends, didn't run into any bad people, ...in all, had an absolutely fantastic day with no trouble at all. The only thing i will complain about is the fact that the main stages blacked out 20 minutes into Mudvayne's set so consequently they only played 4 songs...up till then they were going nuts and i had the best spot ever...on top of a garbage bin standing in the mosh pit ....such is life

The bender continued well into tuesday morning ...then it was time for one last photo and then home
Plans for next year are already well under way
In other news, ...i went to see Anberlin play Tuesday night, i wasn't too impressed, but The Amity Affliction whosupported kicked ass
On Wednesday night i headed out to see some local punk music
Mouthguard were great, as were team dickhead ....others were ok, but i fell asleep at the bar so i went home
