I have been looking at updating this journal for the last few days, and I kept finding myself staring at an empty white box. It's been rather frustrating, as I've been having alot of trouble concentrating on much of anything.

Anyway, I went out for coffee tonight, flying solo once again. Lately, it has really been noticable that most of my friends these days are more daytime oriented, which is a drastic change from what I'm used to. I have always been a night person. I tend to be more aware, and significantly more creative during late hours. When there is a girl in my life (which there sadly hasn't been in quite awhile) I love staying up late and spending time together.

It's been storming out since last evening. I find it comforting, in an oddly saccharine way. For about 5 minutes, I took a little time out and simply stood outside. It was very calming, watching the sky. Hell, the rain alone even made me feel a little more human, for a moment or two.

Sometimes we all need a reminder of that sort of thing, you know?

Thanks for the star wars quote, it made me smile.

Just thought I'd say hello to you too.

As for the whole ivy-league school thing, I just like a challenge. I look for a school that is going to really push me. I know there are a hundred other amazing places to learn but they won't challenge me as much as a school like Northwestern or Columbia might. I swear I'm not an ivy-league snob, in fact I don't tend to fit in with the people at these schools I just go there for the academic challenge.

So that's me explaining why I go to an ivy-league school, hope you enjoyed this facinating tutorial. wink
