It's been a couple days. Oops.
So the guys and I went to see Pirates. I'm not sure if it was a subconscious thing or if we started a trend but occasionally we'd give a "Yaaaarrr!" of murmured approval throughout the movie and other people started doing it as well.
At alisa's request I did a few concept images for fliers to hand out to promote SG, I'll upload them somewhere in the next day or two. I'm making them as templates so people can go in and add what text they want, but I'll probably have a couple examples of my own.
I saw Evergreen Terrace on the 9th, and 311's coming to town on August 7th. Beautiful. I've been working on learning some 311 bass lines in honor of the occasion. And there's other reasons...but that's beside the point.
No word on the SGKC group yet, hopefully sometime soon we'll get a response. I've got some ideas, obviously pending the group being approved. There seems to be quite a bit of interest though, and I intend to make it happen.
Went down to Westport and handed out fliers yesterday. Got rid of quite a few, hopefully the turnout will be good, need all the support you can get for battle of the bands. Saw a couple of cute girls but didn't really stay in place long enough to talk to anyone. Oh well...
Know I've whined about it before, but this whole thing with underage girls being attracted to me is way past flattering and into downright disturbing mode. Won't some kindly 20 something claim me as her own and tell them to shoo? That would have the added bonus of being cute and hot at the same time.
It's almost fall...hopefully my family issues are resolved in the coming months and something gets worked out with my living arrangements. I miss sleeping on my own bed, playing my stereo too loud and singing and playing along offkey.
Still focusing on being positive. Something's got to improve. I'll just take pleasure in that fact for now.
