Janurary is a cervical cancer awareness month. Every year 3.500 women in Poland hear the diagnosis: cervical cancer, and more than a half dies because the disease is so advanced. But there is a simple method to avoid cancer - making regular Pap tests (I make a test once a year).
The symbol of our awareness about cervical cancer prevention and the fact that we as women know how to take care of our health are pink lips. There is an action called Pink Lips Project organised in Poland - women take pictures wearing pink lipstick, thus drawing attention to the problem of cervical cancer and the necessity for testing. So no matter which country you come from - remember to visit your gynecologist regularly! And if you're male - make sure your girlfriend/sister/mother does it!
