I went to Target this evening and bought Kill Bill and the Clerks animated DVDs, and for some reason the picture on my goddam TV (which isn't even a year old) is shot to shit. I can't adjust the color or contrast or anything. So I have these new DVDs and I can't watch them.

So I open the paper this morning and read that this chick I'm friends with (but haven't seen in a few months) is in jail for child abuse, after her 9-month-old son drowned in the bathtub. Am I alone in the "what a total fuck up" sentiment? Her twin girls are in state custody now, and if I had a way I'd take them in.

That's fucked! I had a similar experience a couple of years ago with one of my best friends from when I was in grade school. I was embarrassed to even admit I knew the guy. People just fucking suck!
