Well hell yeah!
We got our Gateway test scores for the 10th grade students yesterday. Out of the 23 students of mine who took the test, 10 scored avdanced, 11 scored proficient to advanced, and only two didn't pass the exam (one missed it by one point). The principal even told me that he was very impressed.
The other 10th grade teacher told me that she's asked for a transfer to the 11th grade, and I said I'd be interested in teaching all the 10th grade classes next year, provided I'm still employed there. They may decide to not rehire me though, because after all I do listen to "devil music."
The principal never did get all three observations done. He came into my 7th hour class on Tuesday for about 15 minutes, and I haven't seen him since. He wasn't even at the school today, and it was the last day of classes. I said "fuck it" and let all my classes watch the movie I rented (Radio...a good movie). Hell, the 11th grade English teacher/coach showed his classes 13 Ghosts and Freddy vs. Jason in the same week!
