This video basically describes how my weekend has been going. (Ok, without the sunlight, hipsters, or the meadow...)
Its been a weird week. Bittersweet almost. The "big project" at work has finally been finished, and we can all breathe a massive sigh of relief. Thankfully.
You think I'd go out and celebrate this weekend. Sure. Would love to. Except for the crippling lack of finances. *shrug* Gotta get used to that actually. I need to save a large amount of money in 2010. I'm going to try and pay off the remaining $40,000 of debt back in less than 2 years. Soooo... gotta tighten my belt, and get used to doing a whole lot of nothing.
One good thing (ok well there have been a few good things in my life lately, but this one is more meaningful) - I've gotten my creativity back. I lost it over 5 years ago. (Long story, not worth telling). I've started with a photography project (that has been done before I'm sure, but this is still a lot of fun for me)... once I have a little bit of free cash, I plan to buy some acrylic paints. A friend donated a large canvas to me, so I have to decide what to paint on it...
I also have been drawing more. Which has been rad. I miss drawing. Mind you I'm not that great, and need to improve a lot, but the fact is, I'm getting there.
I've been a lot happier lately. Which is pretty sweet.
I also have been dealing with a lot of 'empty promises' from people in my life. Its irritating to say the least. People make promises, then back out of those. They tell me they love me, but then show me how much they dont. Why do I put up with this? I'm not sure. I need to figure that one out so I can put a stop to it, and move on.
Ah well. For now, music, art, and friends...
