Come adopt at a pet at the Michigan Humane Society. Detroit what
we got held up at gunpoint last week
THAT was ridiculous. They didn't take anything, nor did they ask. They were amateurs. No one was hurt and everyone acted responsibly. It was a Sunday and we were very slow. I am sure it was a one time incident, probably looking for their dogs taken by Cruelty or something related, but who knows. Try looking at a tape of 2 masked black men, then identify them. They are long gone. No one was hurt or threatened, and I do feel it was an isolated incident. We're getting shirts... mhs staff survived July 20th 2008 ... No Shots Fired!
Beyond that, the city is very ignorant about animal care, how easily dogs can die, run away, get pregnant, etc. Sometimes I feel I've been given the task of taking on the world.. and I am only a teeny weeny part, taking on so much. I am very lucky to have 2 healthy cats, and the means to care for them.
Lola is moving in less than one week.

Tomorrow is payday. Thank god for that.
