Having the time to be sick has been nice. I've had a day of sleep and some robotussin. I have been thinking about easter, due to planning a Wii party on that day. I find that funny. When I was a kid, I woke up in the morning, found a colorful boiled easter egg (if i'm lucky. Usually it was the plastic ones filled with a penny, nickle and dime, or a small piece of chocolate). That meant I had an easter basket somewhere in the house. That meant there was chocolate. That meant chocolate for breakfast. I found my easter basket within 10 minutes tops. I usually found Susan and Brian's before mine. Sometimes it was in the dryer, in the shower, behind the couch.
When I was very little we would go to my grandma's house. Green carpeting. Light green.
I was always bored, but excited about easter at grandma's and jack's. jack was her second husband. They got married not long after my parents. Both Jack and Fern's second marriage, companionship relationship at best. Anyway, he was a jokester, a bit crass. He wasn't my grandpa.. Papa. That part was always awkward, no matter how little I was.

My grandma was the type of woman who put no fat, diet, 10 calorie, rice cake candy treats in our baskets. You know the camera adds 10 pounds.
It was always very bright in that house. The light seafoamy carpet took well to the sliding glass window to the wooden fenced yard. There often seemed to be bunnies hopping around after dinner. We'd go look for them. When we saw a bunny is the grass me and my cousin Dan would get so excited. We'd hush and get down low and try to creep quietly towards a bunny who must have been 10-15 feet away from us. It always ran off way too quickly. We were kids.
I remembert being exhausted at the end of the night, just wanting to go home. We went home. It felt like a long ride on the freeway, but the sky was always clear and I liked to make out the stars. There was a part of the freeway that wasn't lit and had a backdrop of lightly leaved trees. That was my favorite part.
