the scales have tipped at work. the cons now outweigh the pros. and now there is some emergency staff meeting this week, in which we;ll either be yelled at, told the center is closing, or apologized to. who the fuck knows.
i'm home for the day cause they're aren't enough kids. for once i'm happy about this, as i have lots of cleaning to do.
my blood sugar dropped to 28 last night.for all the non-diabetics reading, this is very, VERY bad. like wow i almost went into a coma kind of bad. so yeah. that happened.
there was a GIANT storm cloud apocalypse rushing over the mountain towards the easthampton fireworks on sat, so the powers that be decided that they should just shoot them off as fast as they could before the storm came. the display lasted 5 - 6 minutes. no national anthem. no "proud to be an american." just "kaboom kaboom get the fuck out."
the storm never came. i wonder if heads rolled for that decision.
i was at a pool party this weekend. i was filling a water gun from the pool when my dad pushed me in. with my wallet. and my leather shoes. and my iphone. and my insulin pump.
the wallet got wet. no big deal. the shoes are destroyed. the iphone is destroyed. the insulin pump is fine. my dad says he'll replace the phone and he feels pretty damned terrible about the whole thing. still... sucks to not have a phone.
