Week 4 of my life studies class and last night we had a male model. Which is actually always interesting to draw. It is a bit of a shame the guy is a bit of a knob and complains constantly. I did feel like pointing out that we were paying to be there and he was getting paid to stand there, so stop complaining about the fucking light in your eyes!!!

The surprise can definitely be fun. However as Dr Sketchys is so much props as well as the models, some models just cover themselves to much in props, or go out of the way to pose poorly. I guess because I'm paying rather then just drawing people on public transport like I normally do.

In the art school I went to you often drew figures for as little as 30 seconds. so you quickly learned that not every sketch is going to look good by any means. I love drawing people in motion, I spend half my lectures drawing either the tutor or my peers.

Go out, draw people as they move!
