Her WIKI only barely scratches the paint off the tortuous life she led being manipulated by men at every turn in her career. She’s a true testament to the art of surviving above all odds.
I’m forever grateful for my Dad’s love of eclectic music including Bossa Nova. He called them his “party records” and would magically turn our house into a Tiki Lounge way before they became wildly popular over here. The sounds of the likes of Astrud, Sergio Mendes, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Cal Tjader filled my nights with dreams of exotic locales (and exotic women). Thanks Dad 😎
