Ma and me at 2 weeks old. Yes, I was huge. 13lbs 10oz. She made that dress from a 1950 Good Housekeeping pattern. When she passed, my Sis found all the cut pieces and a small leftover bolt of that fabric in a false seat bottom of her sewing machine chair. Sis made quilts for her two kids from all of it.
I was a hellion growing up. I know now that I’m within the Aspergers Syndrome protocols. And I know the grief I caused her wasn’t her fault. Wish I could tell her that now in my 68th year.
Love ya Ma ❤️

Such a deep post. Current experience might have helped the younger "versions" of us. Though, the lack of knowledge raised our inuition and curiosity, that's why the choices and steps we've made were probably the most sincere ones, even if that sincerity hurts... Your mother is definitely amazing. I can't tell that she "was", as she still has a great meaning, impact and influence for you. Mums are always near us and deep inside our souls.
