Thoughts for the night..

It is almost that time of year again, to make some new and utterly depressing, futile promise that this coming year will be different from the other.

Examples:
I will get my fat ass off the couch. (But it is so damn comfortable)

I will go to the gym and lose the gut (but the couch is so damn comfortable)

I will once again open up and try to let someone into my heart (is it too scared over from the evil women of past relations?)

I will finish my college degree. (It is only 40 credits away, but who is going to hire you with a History degree with an emphasis in European history? Like any one really wants to know about the Knight Templar, about all of the religious wars, the crusades, the year that there were 20 popes)

I will not post thoughts while intoxicated. (Where is the fun in that?!?)

Get the history stuff done and dusted, man. Some wise old geezer said that if we don't understand history, we're destined to repeat it. Doing the crusades all over again would be a right pain in the arse.

I've just checked the exchange rate - they're fucking giving dollars away!
Vegas is looking like a hot trip...
