Here is another of my poems. This one I named, "The Understanding"

As a young lad, I drank my fill of a warm sun
and gentle breeze, lost forever in a state of reverie.
I linger through out each day always removed from all reality.
Then with a sudden start, I begun to wonder if ever did I ever
stopped to ponder upon those things that surround me.
There is power in a thunderstorm.
The simple pleasure of holding another warm and near.
The relaxing sensation of a steamed filled shower.
The oh so lovely melody made from a saxaphone.
The wonderful feeling of a loving word.
The special satisfaction of giving to others.
Then with the sun set, I stood oh very still for a just a moment
in complete tranquility.

I hope everyone is doing well. I enjoy sharing my writings.
I have added a couple of chapters to my novel.
