It has begun.....I have started my own novel. The first few pages have been finished.
I hope to follow the footsteps of some of my favorite authors.
Ian Fleming, Don Pendleton, Micky Spillanie, Robert B. Parker and many others.
As a kid growing up during the late 70's and 80's, I had my fill of fantasy novels with many new adventures being conjured up because the success of Star Wars, Battlestar Galatica, Star Trek, Logan's Run, Space 1999 and many others, but it was the action adventure novels filled with vigilante heros and nasty mafia like villians and drug cartels etc. plus some spy adventure to fill in the mix. Plus, dungun and dragons was taking a life of itself also during those years.
Well, now I had decided to place my many ideas and stories that have been rattling in my head for some time.
I have successful with my poetry and I have had a few published. I have decided to fullfill a dream of writing my own verson of a novel that I grew up loving. In the spirit of James Bond, Mack Bolan, Mike Hammer and all those elves, magic users, drawfs, and enchanted tales, I will birth my own manifesto in the coming months and hopefully someone will enjoy it enought to become a published novel. I would be happy to be a paperback that everyone can enjoy on those lazy days or long road trips.
