new blog AND PICTURES... oooooohhhhhhh

part one:

i just finished getting settled in my hotel room here in ft.myers/captiva, FL. flew in at noon with almost no sleep and only a banana and two packs of menthos in my belly [since 5am]. i really hope we eat for real soon. the combination of no food and no sleep is one that my body particularly dislikes.

it is very peaceful here on the island as i type this from my [kinda crappy] screened porch. i'm stuck in my room waiting for a phone call to go for drinks.

my wife [sara] was on the snowboarding hill when i called home to WI and i'm very jealous. i'd rather be there in the snow getting ready for our trip to CO next week.

part two:

written poolside [closed] since my room is too far from the wherever the hell the wireless thingy is [or i would've just written part one and left it be]. i feel like i'm in the movie 'lady in the water'. it's just me and the crickets and lizards and a cat just stopped by, too. hopefully, that's all! i cannot wait to see that movie again.





i wish i had time in each of my days for moments like this... just relax and catch up a bit. that would be so nice. someday...

ate too much fried food (shrimp/grouper) for dinner. the fact that you read this brings a joy to my heart which i cannot describe.
