Okay, this entry is not about whining or complaining. Instead I decided to dedicate it to things that make me happy.
Let's start with
Nick Cave, I absolutely adore his music. No one will ever be able to reach the place his songs have in my heart. I can't even count how many times I've sat in the dark and listened to his songs. I couldn't even name my favourites, there are way too many. His songs are the soundtrack to my life.
And while we, or rather I, talk about music
Tori Amos, my number two musician. An amazing voice and countless fantastic songs. Her song "Bliss" has one of best music videos ever. If I had to pick my favourites I'd say "Me And A Gun" and "Playboy Mommy".
Let's leave the music behind us and proceed to
Garfield. My role-model.
I ♥ Garfield comic strips. Nothing works better when you're down. Garfield always cheers me up.
And since Garfield is a cat, let's stay with the pussy
Scarlett Johansson. Of course, nowadays everyone loves her and I am no exception. I have 586 high quality pictures of her on my pc, that should tell you how much I like her. I also own most of her films but that's not very surprising since I'm a dvd-collector (aka film-nerd).
All this drooling over the last pic made me rather thirsty so the next one is
Black tea, without it I would not be able to live. Honestly, I drink about 8-15 big cups a day and I've been doing so since I was a child. I'm not very keen on water and I rarely drink alcohol but black tea, especially the one from northern germany, is my only addiction.
And since nothing works better with some good tea than a good book
The discworld books by Terry Pratchett. Not a month goes by in which I don't read one or two of those books. I know most of them by heart but they never get boring. For those of you who know the books, my favourites are the ones about the watch. I've probably read The Fifth Elephant 6 or 7 times already.
But as I already mentioned, I also like movies and shows
Dead Like Me Season one+two is the best stuff that's ever been in my dvd-player. If I had to pick one show/movie to watch for the rest of my life it would be this one. Too bad that it was cancelled after season two. Every episode makes you laugh and cry and wonder. The characters are fantastic and there are countless of good ideas in here. If you haven't seen it yet, go get it.
And for my fellow Germans, please only watch it in English. I know that this show is about to come out on German tv but honestly, the accents here add so much to the charm of this show, it'd be a crime to ignore them.

And last but not least
My nephew, his name is Malik and I love him with all my heart. He's the only guy I allow to drool on me. I would give up all of the above mentioned stuff for him without a second of hesitation. Happiness = playing with him.
