What A Wonderful World...
It's hard to stay pissed when you've got so many great people trying to make you smile. Thank you all so very much! Lately life has been interesting, frustrating, exciting and a metric fuck-ton of other -ing words. I could've very easily stayed angry and bitter but you fuckers won't even give me the chance! So what have I been up to?
SOOO MUCH!
I've been extremely mobile. Driving all over the place, hitting the gym almost every day, running to various gigs, shoots, meetings and parties. What does this all make me realize? It's time to invest more cash in my van! I recently paid it off, now it's time to finish the stereo and other niceties. I'll be roadtripping to AT LEAST Florida, Ohio, California and Tennessee this summer... the van needs to be ready! If you're in any of those states, message me your location and we can meet up!
I've been incredibly productive. I do a lot of freelance work to supplement my rock show income, often causing me lame stress and sleepless nights. Lately I've had more free time to knock out a ton of work and get myself ahead of the game. This new posturing has allowed me to book new clients that have the potential of paying off extremely well... FUCK YES. I hate money so it'll be good to get a ton of it. It's always good to keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
I've been remarkably creative. Once again, chalk it up to the free time. I've been writing. A LOT. I'm currently working on a 10-episode Western miniseries, celtic/bluegrass hybrid music to accompany the scripts, doing paid blog writing for various client websites and I'm even sketching out the beginnings of my attempts at stand up comedy.
I know. everyone wants to be a stand up. Fuck them. I'm better.
I've been insatiably social. For the first time in almost a year I've had a few weekends off! I've been taking full advantage and life has been FUN. It's a shame I don't have more free weekends to spend gallivanting around the globe with you all, but I still love my job too much to give it up. Maybe one day...
