It seems like I never have anything interesting to say... But I guess I write stuff here because I will never keep a hardcopy journal. I also don't care to share my feelings/thoughts with people I know, so I guess this is a good format. I have such a horrible memory that I should keep track of all the little things that happen...
LT turned 3 and his party turned into a 2 day bday event. Sarah and I have a great time and enjoyed all those who stopped by. I should also mention that it took most of the previous weekend to contruct the playset but it is awesome and the kids love it. Thanks to those that helped me!
So, I went to a shop to consult with an artist about getting a small piece done (to match/finish my SJ piece on my collar bone area). He was busy and I was inpatient and I went ahead and went with another guy and got it done. He did a good job, but I didn't care for him personally and didn't like the shop or the attitude that went on there.
I then took my next idea to a another shop and the artist was very polite and helpful, but she didn't feel like she could do the tattoo because it was going to be covering an older one. I disagreed with her and took it to another shop and that artist said no problem. Went back a week later to check out the sketch, made a few changes and then we went for the outline. Very nice. I should mention that I was looking for a female artist to see if my wife would be more comfortable with her when she is ready to cover-up that horrible piece on her bikini line.
I would have preferred to go with the first lady artist, but again my impatience wouldn't allow for it. I am happy with the work done and I have gotten work done by another artists at the same shop and feel like I will continue to get work done by both.
I would like to thank all of you who answered my inquiries into your artists and their locations. The recurring theme here is that I am not patient and decided to go with someone closer to home and my side of town. The shop is by no means impressive, but the atmosphere is relaxed and I usually laugh at the comments that are being made around me. I'm going to go back in about a month to get some coloring done and then one more session after that should finish it.
I will get some pictures up if I get around to taking them. I haven't even taken pictures of the work I have done to the Suburban... I'm really sucking at the picture updating lately.
