So, life is unexpected but good. I've healed up well enough and somehow through no real effort of my own got a major promotion right as I was thinking of leaving. So I'm going to stay for at least another ski season, if not longer, it is hard to walk away from this kind of job.

My father came to visit me for two weeks, it was both fun and slightly awkward. We have a strange relationship, we're both very similar but of different generations. I think this time around our similarities were made all that more apparent.

With increased income comes irresponsible spending urges... I must resist.
