I used to have recurring dreams that I was drowning in pitch black water. They came back right before my divorce. I used to wake up gasping for air so I would lose sleep afterwards because I was afraid I'd stop breathing in my sleep.
I've been in a creative slump also where I get antsy to draw but when I'm in front of my pad, nothing comes out.
I want to say that I know what you're going through, but it's different for everybody. But I have a good idea. Sometimes I scream into a pillow as loud and hard as I can and it helps. Sometimes.

I remember reading in the first Death graphic novel ( I don't know if you read Sandman- that's just the geek in me) about putting pennies over someones eyes to pay the toll to crossover or something. But I like your penny story better!
