So they've announced who will be taking Dick Smith's place at the Savini school and it's none other than Gregory Nicotero... you might have seen his work in Kill Bill, Sin City, Army of Darkness, the new Indiana Jones, Transformers, Hostel, The Hills Have Eyes I and II (remake), the Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Planet Terror, Death Proof, Serenity, Land of the Dead, Austin Powers: Goldmember, Thir13en Ghosts, From Dusk to Dawn, The Cell, The Faculty, Wishmaster, Vampires, Scream, Misery, Evil Dead II, Invasion USA, Diary of the Dead, Spiderman 3, Casino Royale, Cabin Fever, Buba Ho-Tep, Dune, Dr. Giggles and Predator (just to name a few).

Ok, back now.

So yeah, If he's at the school, you know part of what he's doing there is head hunting for talent... which means I might have a chance to work at KNB EFx right out of school.... or maybe shortly there after, but yeah. I'd at least have connections and one of the most predominant special effects companies out there. I could be working on the amazing movies as listed above. I'm pretty sure the thought of this makes me want to jump up and down and do cartwheels and shake my booty and all that.

/excitement

Other than that? Things have been going pretty well. I'm an emotional roller coaster of supreme joy for the moment, supreme excitement for the future and supreme sadness for all I'm leaving behind. It works well for me. Every time I get sad something like the zombie pub crawl or Gregory Nicotero pop up to make me freak out all over again about the future. It's a bright one.
