I've got my flights booked for Pittsburgh now so I can go visit the school and find an apartment. April 16th - 20th. Woohoo! I've had too many reasons to go to the bar lately. Going away parties, birthdays and the such, but it's been nice to reconnect with old friends and keep up to date with current ones.
I've also been working on spreading the news on me moving through Fargo. So far everyone I tell just says "awesome!" or "I can so see you doing that!" or the such, which is cool. It's nice to have such an overwhelming feeling of support from EVERYONE. It helps curb the overwhelming sense of fear I have that I'm not going to be able to make it no matter how hard I work.
I know I've hardly been around at all and that's for two reasons mostly: 1.) It's busy as Hell at work 2.) I've been going through every item I own and figuring out if it's something I'll need in Pittsburgh, something I'll want to store or something that I need to get rid of. After several moves, a marriage and a divorce I've gotten way too much stuff and I'm taking this serious enough where it's going to take awhile. I want to be able to go from a 2 bedroom apartment to an efficiency if need be.
Also getting ready for school in general is time consuming: filling out financial aid, getting all those last doctor/dentist/vision appointments while I still have insurance, trying to figure out what's wrong with my car so we can fix it before I move, etc. Not to mention everyone that wants to take me out to lunch, for drinks, etc while they still have the chance.
In the end though? It's be pretty damn awesome and exciting. I'm looking so forward to my future right now and I'm so damned pumped for my going away party. Cause it's most definitely going to be the shiznitch.
So yeah, I suck at being around and reading blogs right now, I'm sorry!! So I'm basically going to ask, what's news with you? And hope this gets me caught up somewhat.
