The Car My Dad Built

So, it's that time of the year again, Back to the 50s, which is THE car show of the summer, but I didn't get it off. I did go see off the caravan before they headed down to Minneapolis. It's really too bad cause this is like the one time of the year that I really get quality time with my dad. I love him, but he's a busy man and doesn't make any him time. Not but once a year, for Back to the 50s, his favorite car show (mine too). For those of you who don't know, my dad's completely in love with cars and always has been. In fact, that's how I got my full name Carissa. Yes, he named me that for the CARissa. My back tattoo is also in pinstripe style reflecting Dad's love of cars.

This year is especially awesome, cause the car my Dad has been working on for the last two years is FINALLY done. I took a bunch of photos of it this morning in not so awesome lighting, but the best I had.

One day, when my Dad retires probably, he's going to buy a garage of his own that he can build cars in and he's going to fix up a car with me, too. I'm really looking forward to all the time with him. I told him that I want a '67 Impala SS hardcore. It'd be super tight to have one. I LOVE those cars, they are SO sexy.

News on the job: Andy didn't get a chance to talk to Rex last night, but I ran into him on his way out of the office and told him myself about the interest in the job and he sounded enthusiastic about it. Hopefully I'll find out soonish though!!!
